Huawei Y6 II Review
Just a year ago Huawei bore an affordable smartphone market Y6 but interesting for the average user who buys at the store its smartphones. We find reviewing this 2016 — Y6 II. Inside the box there is a red this Y6 II power supply 5V/1A, classic medium quality headphones and a USB cable-microUSB.
Does not change almost nothing from the constructive point of view. The smartphone is a product quite “cumbersome” and entirely made of plastic. The back cover is made with a metallic effect. This cover can be removed to access the SIM and microSD, but you cannot remove the battery. The physical buttons are on the right side and quite well with just one hand. Huawei has updated its low cost smartphone with a 1.2 GHz core processor 620 Kirin HiSilicon octa Mali graphics processor 450 MP. The remaining 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory doubles coming to, always expandable via microSD. Always great to use their second SIM (both are in small packages) without sacrificing the expandable memory. Connectivity is LTE at 150 Mbps, then we have the Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth finally 4.1. Missing the NFC and is present the notification led. Finally there is the fingerprint reader, now almost a standard in all price ranges.
The main camera from 13 megapixel camera with single led flash there wowed. The shots are of reasonable quality with good light, but just some bright lights to put it mildly. Even the HDR, to be activated manually, can’t do much in that respect. Even the shutter speed is not fast and in some circumstances may be slightly picture moves. The videos are enough and are recorded in Full HD, but there is no continuous autofocus. The front camera is a decent 8-megapixel camera with ability to do indexed views. Huawei Y6 II comes with a 5.5-inch 1280 × 720 pixels. The brightness of this screen is above average for this type of product and there is also automatic brightness. The real limit is probably the lack of grease resistance on the front glass. It is unfortunately not present the awakening with the double-tap.
Huawei software Y6 II is the Huawei Android based EMUI 4.1 6.0 Marshmallow. There aren’t any news than the other company’s products and if you enjoyed (or not) all the functions of this software you will find yourself at home. Is quite simple to use software and without any particular pretensions. We have a theme Manager to customize your interface, a way to help reduce the screen size and a simplified way for people who can’t use Smartphones. Finally we can also manage your phone more accurately thanks to permission management, management of notifications and warnings of excessive consumption by the app. All of these features have also the drawback of risking complicate life for less experienced users.
This browser is Chrome offering a decent fluidity. Well also the Huawei preinstalled as the dedicated video player (finally Full HD files) and music player.
The battery in this Huawei Y6 II is from 3000 mAh. The autonomy is quite variable depending on the use that you make, but with heavy usage you might not get to the end of the day, something not possible with average usage. Huawei Y6 II is sold to 199 € a price all things considered interesting for a product sold officially in stores in Italy, but still not a bargain price, considering the alternatives.
